Dorothy and Brandon love Jesus and His Church and are thankful for the opportunity to plant an ECO church in Chesapeake. Together they have three children, Caroline (12), Keith (10), and Sarah Beth (8). The Hoods moved to Chesapeake in 2020 for Brandon’s career as a Navy chaplain and are blessed to put down roots as they approach his military retirement.

Dorothy has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from King University in TN (2004) and a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in MA (2007). She has served churches in Argentina, MA, NC, and VA. Brandon has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Davidson College in NC (2003), a M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary in GA (2006), and a D.Min. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (2015). He served churches in NC, GA, AZ, and NJ before serving as a Navy chaplain for the past 16 years.
